Appointments for our Christmas Program in Nanaimo are Fully Booked.
For those who were unable to book or attend an appointment, we offer a Last Chance Christmas Program opening at our Nanaimo Native Victory Church location (471 Irwin Street)

Time: Noon - 3:00 PM

Details: Drop-in: First-come, First-served; Christmas Gift Card + Fresh Eats Hampers available

Fresh Eats will include produce, bread plus any dairy and deli items we receive from our Food Recovery partners.

Fresh Eats is open to drop-in clients as well as those who come for the Christmas Program.

Each registered household will receive one Grocery Store Gift Card starting December 2nd.
The amount of that Gift Card will be based on the size of your household.
In the past we have been able to make special food purchases to share in a special “hamper” in addition to Grocery Store Gift Cards. This year, due to significant financial challenges, we are only able to offer Grocery Store Gift Cards.
Our normal food distribution program will remain open throughout December so that all clients can continue to access Fresh Eats and Regular Hamper foods at their normal time & place in December.
You will only need one appointment. That appointment will enable you to:
- Access one Grocery Store Gift Card in December
- Shop for a Fresh Eats or Regular Hamper, depending on what you are eligible for on that day (for more information on our regular hamper program, please CLICK HERE).
- If your household is not currently registered with Loaves & Fishes, you’ll be asked for a piece of original or photocopied government issued ID for each person in your household as part of the registration process.
- If your registration as a household with Loaves & Fishes is up-to-date, you will only need to show your own ID to register and receive your Grocery Gift Card.
