Ways to Give

Every gift helps strengthen food security across Vancouver Island and Coastal BC. Through financial contributions, you help recover good food, reduce food waste, and expand the reach of Loaves and Fishes so more individuals, families, and communities across the region can access healthy, nutritious food when they need it most.

Whether you choose a one-time donation, monthly support, or a legacy gift, your generosity creates lasting impact in our community. Explore the many ways you can support the work of Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank.

We'd love to help you find the giving option that works best for you. Our team is happy to answer questions, walk you through your options, and make the process as simple as possible.

Donate Monthly

Monthly donors provide steady support that has a lasting impact.

Legacy Giving

Leave a legacy that nourishes generations to come. Planned gifts through your estate can help ensure healthy food remains accessible for future generations.

Donor Advised Funds

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a flexible, tax-efficient way to manage your charitable giving, and Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank is happy to receive grants from DAF accounts held at any Canadian foundation.

Workplace Giving

One of the easiest ways to give is through your workplace. Payroll giving lets you donate a little each pay period, and if your employer offers matching, your impact doubles automatically.

Securities

Donating securities, including Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual funds has excellent tax benefits including eliminating capital gains tax and receiving an immediate tax receipt for the market value of the securities.
